OTHER

1994-2013 (and beyond) I was/am called Aliza Shapiro and produced Truth Serum Productions.
I organized concerts (Come, Le Tigre…), readings/poetry, TraniWreck / Wreckage: drag/burlesque/aerial/live music etc (all-gender, all-genre) performances (Katya got her start with us) usually with Mr. Heywood Wakefield (my other side) , film screenings, Dr. Sketchy’s life drawing, etc. Something like 70%/30% queers/straight on stages and 50%/50% queers/straight in the audiences.
1999-2013 performed as Mr. Heywood Wakefield and here.
In 2011 and 2013 I had two strokes.

EDUCATION

1991 Bachelor of Fine Art, Rhode Island School of Design
1992 Bachelor of Architecture, Rhode Island School of Design

DESIGN WORK

Most of my design work has been in the corporate realm involving reuse renovations of large industrial complexes and some new office interiors. Smaller projects, in the art realm, have focused on collaborative process, affordability and ease of construction.
